Hey, can someone tell me if a 2005 4.3 Mercruiser MPI can be put on a NMEA network so info can be viewed on a HDS Live?

The boat I am looking at is a 2004 with the 4.3MPI so it should have SmartLink correct? I think, and correct me please, is a gateway, Yes/No?

If the engine has an MEFI ECM, a Fox Marine Gateway should work. I just installed one on my ’03 5.0 litre Volvo with an MEFI 4. Works great. Engine info on my Garmin as well as on my iphone/iPad via Bluetooth and their app.
