I have two motors to give away to anyone wanting them for parts or to fix. Both two stroke outboards from the 1990's One is a 8 horse mariner assembled in Quebec that still has 110 compression on both cylinders the other is a four horse mercury (Japanese manufactured). They both have very good parts on them except for the usual west coast salt water foot disease. I stupidly bought them for use up in the Cariboo fishing in fresh water lakes and they both leave oil slicks from the foot and repairing the feet is not worth the effort and would cost more than a new motor. The eight horse pumps just fine and the thermostat works so the head is very good still but the foot though free and will shift fine creates milk shakes in the foot oil and the prop shaft retainer that holds on the prop shaft seal is snapped and the foot upper seal at the bottom of the water pump is obviously shot from salt water corrosion and lack of being flushed and serviced. It was reported by the fellow that sold it to me that it was a spare sail boat kicker that was hardly used. But obviously someone didn't care if the messed it up and left an oil slick. I am giving them away as I do not have the time or the inclination to fix them even though it is fairly easy to find feet that are still good up north and in Alberta where people usually blow out the heads before the feet. The opposite of salt water disease here on the coast. Anyone interested in having them for parts just PM me Thanks.
