Your best bet is Goldstream boat house or the Sidney launch. Brentwood is gonna be a long time before it will be open. From what I heard, it needs to be replaced as the concrete slabs are damaged.

Many many years ago I used to launch a small runabout at Deep Cove marina does anyone know if their ramp is still active???

I’d avoid that Marina. The owner is very difficult to deal with. Had my boat moored there for a while and would never go back. It was up for sale so hopefully it sells and gets a decent owner.

Thanks it was about sixty years ago that a very pleasant man owned it and he and I even went to active pass in my little boat and caught an obscene amount of salmon. Sabestian Cabot was often seen close by I agree if it was a pleasant place I would love to tie up there

Here's a question for someone: why am I catching crab just outside Tsehum Harbour that have been rubber banded? Another one this morning and 2 others in the last few weeks. Another fellow crabber has also caught a few...

The only explanation I can think of is a commercial crabber about to get busted for too many crab on board, dumping them over the side. The poor crab are unable to defend or feed themselves.

Nice work, where were you??

Last week in Sidney Area till May 31. To get your 1 hatchery Fish. Then Only the small Portion of 18-6 and 18-7 will be open for 1 hatchey only from June 1 - July 31. Reminder 62 cm Min for hatchery, No Max.

Fishing was insane on Saturday. I went 10 for 14. Lost to biggy's over 20 for sure. Incredible until the wind came up. It was a mixed of hatchery and Wild fish. All released.

Did some jigging on Saturday. Got out a bit late and caught end of the bite. 3 springs on in first 45 min. Long line release, gaff release of a high teens wild and approx. 10lb hatch beside boat. So much fun jigging up salmon. Wind and current got too much so went for some shelter and ling fishing. Kept a nice ling 70cm. Then rough ride home with wind and current apposing. Made for tight waves and real choppy water.
