Yellow tail caught on BC coast

I can’t recall any reports of Yellow tail being caught this far north so we might be the first!
Doubled up on these beauties out tuna fishing on Saturday.

It was on a reel west coast episode. He was inshore tofino and thought he had a jack and it turned out to be a tuna. Maybe staged for the show but who knows.... tuna might have got lost

Awesome catch! There was one caught west of Haida Gwaii last year but waaaaay offshore. Yellow tail belong to the jack family, good eats!

We got a few in Quatsino, I believe it was either 2007 or 2008. Good eaters and they sure look cool.
