Yamalube Ring Free Plus

I just bought a bottle of Yamalube ring free plus to add to the fuel.
How often should I add this to my fuel.
The dealer told me that I should change the oil after adding Yamalube ring free plus, Is that true. If so why.

It's to remove carbon buildup from cylinder walls. What doesn't burn up in combustion ends up in your engine crank case. Therefore the recommended oil change after using.

For sure. This stuff works - we had an engine that was almost dead. After one tank it was running like new!

I’ve talked to a buddy he says he uses ring free plus. I asked him if he changes his oil after adding ring free, he says he doesn’t change his oil. Is that a problem not changing oil. Is it recommended to change oil to be safe.

I ran ring free plus in all of my Yamaha engines all the time and each engine had 1,000 hrs. on them before the leg gears blew out and I sold them. If I put fuel in, I would add the amount of ring free plus recommended. A friend was the head of Yamaha western Canada and he recommend I use it every fill up specially if I'm using fuel with ethanol. I only change my oils and filters at 100 hrs. and my mechanic Coastal Run Services always said my oils were clean.

My Yamaha friend referred to RFP as vitamins for your engine. Good sales pitch.

I never had a problem with an engine,. 9.9, 250, 300.

Yamaha Canada did a demo of ring free plus at a local Victoria dealer who is not there anymore. They took a 9.9 hp which barely could run and added 10 oz RFP into one gallon of fuel (100/1 and not the 1/10 ratio it should be) started the engine and it blew white smoke for 2 minutes and it died. Removed the plugs which were fouled sold with crap, drained the oil and was black with flakes, then re plugged and oil and filter. They did this three times and then switch to fresh fuel, plugs and oil and the engine ran great after that. That is what sold me on it.

This is from the Yamaha web site:
