Wtb hourston

Ahhh I was wonedring what boat you were looking for - as your original "Boat Wanted" thread had no text and unable to reply to it - lol

Hourston or Double Eagle in that size is a great choice. For WA the 20' Grady White Adventure WA is a fabulous WA if you want to go a little larger ( If you go walk around route, I'd go a litte bigger than 18' IMO)

Thanks I like the grady 20 and the proline 20 express and would definitely look in that direction I've had a couple of hourstons before and know how we'll they are up together I'm sure something will show up

Where are you located? You looking for inboard or outboards? I know of a real beauty up here in Hardy, 22ft, inboard, immaculate boat. Let me know if this interests you and I will get you the info.

Cheers,

13,500 ....are they kidding ? I didn't know Hourston ( or Mercury) was putting gold in their products !

i agree they are expensive but i have found for the most part you get what you pay for a few months ago i missed a 06 18-2 hardtop with no trailor and 150 yam 4 stroke with low hours for 18000 plus he would have reduced the price to buy a trailor for it. i didnt jump quick enough and missed it

The value is pretty much all in the hull.
The Merc might last a few more seasons, but its likely a thirsty engine...

Ya but there's no way that hull is even worth close to that price, for example look at that whaler on this site that thing is pristine for 8k

Expensive is one thing - over priced is a completely different matter . You do not get what you pay for automatically. In used boat sales that thinking will bite you and hard.

I don't want to dis another's ad especially if it turned out Craven knows the owner, however

Hint; 8 year old 2006 HG 18.2 pkge ( low hr) yami 4 stroke--- 18K
vs
20 year old 1994 HG 18.2 hull (high hr) Merc 2 stroke --- 13.5K

There is a 2006 18.5 double eagle with 150 yamaha etc on vancouver craigslist that has been for sale for a few months or more. He wants $30k however given how long it has been posted for you might do much better.

thanks i have talked to the fellow with the double eagle my hesitation on it other than the price is the 18 eagle does not have that much fishing room on the back by extending the front for the cuddy you lose the room on the back deck

Not quite what I'm looking for. Don't want anything larger than 20 if I strike out on the hourston I'd be open to the wa design in a quality boat grady proline etc
