Thanks guys. I had a watch on the ebay one already, but I'll give Lindsay a call. The one on craigslist is a little out of my price range. I need a good handle, clicker spring and the little left hand retaining screw in the center of the drag nut.

Lindsay did just that for me,made me the left handed thread retaining screw, stupid me forgot it was left handed thread, and when taking it apart to clean and lube ,well you know what happened[:I]..

Try calling Mike Flynn @ Custom Rod Crafters, he is in Fairwinds. Might have some of the parts you are looking for.

Has a good reputation, a toll free number, plus a lot of info on various reels.

Here, fyi, is the link to the Longstone schematic on his website, with part names and numbers.

Lindsay makes parts for Mikes;), (he was, not sure if he still is),

(edit)
Another fellow that has tracked down a "hard to find part" for me was

"The Reel Doctor"
www.reeldr.com
out of Edmonton AB. ph.780-431-0146
he was very reasonable ,and super-fast shipping

The drag screw on my Longstone stripped. I wrote a schmoozy e-mail to Hardy telling them how much I loved my reel. :D They sent me the screw for free. [8D] One of the local shops in Vic was asking 35 bucks for one.

The Longstone handles suck too, if you don't mind the thing not being totally stock, get a set of the handles that go on Islander's put on it. They're less slippery in wet weather. Island Outfitters used to do this work a few years ago, not sure about now.
