WTB - Fish finder GPS

Looking for Lowrance 5"+ screen. Budget up to $1000.
Anyone thinking of upgrading? C.S.?
Will consider other makes as well. New or used.

I just got a lowrance Elite 5 and am very happy with it. It has good graphic detail and I like the mapping system and it's layout. It seems like if you go over 5" you will be crazy money just to get 1 or 2 more inches. I'm just a weekend warrior fishermen and it seems this model is all I need. you will be well under a $1000. Hope this helps

I have an Eagle Seachamp 2000 - 7" Colour Screen with Vancouver Island Navionics Gold Chip. Its a great unit for the price - I paid about $1700 including the chip and taxes about 3-4 years ago. Now the only issue is that I had to get it out of my old boat in a hurry and had to leave the transducer unit. I'm sure you can pick one up for a couple of hundred $, but you can check on that. I would be willing to sell what I have for $500 obo.

Thats not a bad deal there Bruce for Lawnmans Eagle Seachamp. It is the same unit as the Lowrance LCX25c. The same unit I have in my boat. You can buy a transducer for $80-$100 out of the US. Which is about half price. You can order the unit new though with transducer out of the US for as low as $599. But then you would need to buy the card.

I think it would needs the round 7 pin 50/200 dual freq transducer.

I don't think that will work but I could totally be wrong. Maybe you only need 3 pins for sonar. Mine has 6 was it or 7 to lazy to look back.
