I have a 9.5 Footer, new roof, no leaks, good beds, working fridge. $1500. It's had the tarp off it since October, and no leaks. GOod starter unit.
I have a 2007 Chev Duramax short box, and the only thing that will fit is a 8.5 foot. That is what I bought, and I love it!!! There are some 9 or 9.5 footers that you can put on a short box, but the sway when you are driving is to much to handle some times...Like I said, I would stick to the 8.5 foot. I bought one, then my buddy bought one who drives a 3/4 ton dodge,...Awsome all around, and you can get them loaded right up with options these days.

I'm getting in the market for an older camper so we can make a few road trips this summer. Can you give me more info. Make, year, equipped with, location, condition, etc. It must be really clean or the Queen won't accept. I have a '98 GMC full size.

It's at my buddy's house at Elk Lake. Your truck will have no trouble with it, it's pretty clean, all appliances including fridge work, and it's got no leaks and a new roof. It's far from the Taj Mahal, she may not like it but it looks OK. I can arrange for you do have a peek at it if you like. The bunk is HUGE, and has a bubble for extra head room, which is why I originally bought it. It's just a big too long for my short box, because I have visions of me hooking up my boat with the thing on. I think it's no more then 1900 pounds. It's a 1986 Coachman. Stove, Domectic Frige, and toilet. I don't think the toilet works, but a porta-pottie would fit, I have one that came with another camper I could give you if it's a deal breaker/maker. It has HiJacker hacks, and a ladder/roof racks.
I had a 9.5 footer in my Ford short box, it hauled it fine, but makes the trialer a bit of work since it has the hanging part down out of the back.
