Some good compatible Simrad and Navico ones that come up for sale on ebay. One recently went for less than $525 CAD. Just make sure they are complete.

I personally don't think so. Just added features you dont really need. You can call HC or PNT as well.... @fishin solo good as well.

Kool, I was thinking just a P66 and/or maybe the TH165HW or TH185HW, i will only get to the coast twice a year so dont want to spend big bucks on electronics,

I was thinking the TH165HW or TH185Hw in conjunction with the "swiss-army-knife" P66 , ill look at the Th150 specs, thx

No need for a 150 if you already will have a higher end chirp unit. Might be worth looking at a through hull xducer so you can find bait at speed.
