Windex Mooching Reels

I am in the process of replacing my Diawa PITA moching reels with some better ones. First the Longstones and now a couple of Windex 4" mooching reels that I found in a garage sale. They are holding them for me. They want $50 each.

I do not know much about them.
Anybody use them? Quality?? Drag system?

Is $50 a good deal. They seem smooth and the drag and clicker still work.

Thanks

They scream its fun to fight a fish but i found they werent great quality. Mine just died and the drag was never that great. That said id buy another for 50$

the original Windex was a good reel, compareable to say a Diawa 275, they are no Hardy.
What you mustwatch for is a remake of the Windex, it is cheap cast and I recall possibly put out by Open Road....bareware of the remake. Originals I believe were a green shade and black. The remake was black also but gunk.

I have several of the old original ones, which came from my grandfather. I liked them for mooching, but find the drags are not sufficient on the downrigger. Haven't used them for years, now.
