Is anyone else on the strait of Georgia getting irritated by all this south wind. No end in sight either. Prime time fishing and stuck on the dock.

6 Days off before I go back to school and the weather doesn't look like I will even be able to get out.

6 days till i go back to school also. Tommorow morning looks ok if your boats a decent size. 5-15 variable in the am picking up to 20-30kts in the afternoon so itll be a bumpy trip back but the bites at 10ish i think so should be ok.

Yah, this time of year it is always pretty decent at first light or dusk. I am going to take a look in the am.

Nope not Chris. I fish out of Powell River. Got up at 5:30 and it already was blowing 15. Gale warning this afternoon. Another day on the damn dock.

I was out in the wind and waves today and it was nasty. We left Salmon point 7:00 a.m. and went to go back in the marina at 9:30 but the tide was to low to get in so rather than bounce around until 1:00 pm when the water was high enough we ran up to Campbell river. The wind changed and the tide was coming up so we thought it was a good time to return to Salmon point. We did it but I would think the swells were about 6' and it was blowing a gale. It has been twice this week we were out in some snotty stuff. Does it blow all the time?

Wind? I can't believe it. Normally at the end of August there are endless days of sunshine and NO wind. I haven't been able to get out on the water either. I fish ECVI. Or should I say, "fished"?

THis has been a brutal couple weeks... feels like days since its been nice enough to get out for a tide! Hope it improves a bit in the next couple days, we are due!

Sorry boys, it is all my fault. I had last week off and whenever that happens I can guarantee that the wind will blow. I am back to work next week so conditions should improve for you...
