Well after a long period of time my Bidddison is is being made ready to go back in the water

sized steering / sized leg pump / fried water pump

snapped sparks(3) plugs and a few sheared nuts and bolts

but hopefully can get her back up running and then for a good clean down

after too long being sat in the drive way ( 2 years almost).

will let you know on how things progress and post a few pics back up

well progress
made so far

changed out the impeller on the water pump but it also needed a a whole new casing so full kit was installed looks like a new pump as well is on the cards

6 new plugs fitted and a new dizzy cap

leg was taken off and refitted all looks ok there.....lol

steering was a major pain but after a fair bit of hammer blows to free the cable from the tube and a re-ream out
it all went back working smoothly

yesterday it was given a good blast and scrub down with a couple of good mates
and now waiting for a cut wax and polish couple of days..then give her a splash back in the chuck hopefully on Saturday

Pictures, Pictures, and more Pictures,

great looking boat, hurry up and get her wet!

forwards and backwards
but hopefully may get her in the drink this weekend....lol

horns gave up the ghost
but got her waxed and bottom painted (half done )
fixed on the scotty's and a few rod holders

now to remount the sounder and check to see if no prob's there then
we should be fitting the plug and getting her to the slip

Just wondering if the downrigger's would be better mounted midship ?
with all three in a row on the back, you may be in for tangles...

Really sweet looking boat! I've never her of the biddison but its a beauty!

Was curious to about the rear mounted downriggers...I've only run a downrigger where I can stand beside it to operate the tackle and wieghts. I can't imagine its very easy doing it off the stern. I have a very similar layout and am curious how its goes for you running them off the stern. No worries about clipping your prop back there, thats for sure!

I have all 3 of mine on the stern of of my 23 Hourston and have never had a problem. They are all 60" down-riggers and all on swivels . I get the odd tangle but for the most part it works fine. Have run up to 5 rods and it was fine. Don't really see how a couple feet forward on the side would make much difference. I will say if I was to do it again that I would mount the side riggers forward a little, but more for a comfort level rigging up not for any problems running them and tangles.

for the sharp eyed
i do have side plates as well so can mount them up the side if needs
also there 60" booms as well so get a fair bit of spread
so may only run 2 pr side stacked so 4 for the time being or if on my own will only run 1 per side(2 rods)

also have setup a rear sounder on the transom running a differing Htz so no conflicting with the helm chartplotter/sounder

will add a few more pics tomorrow

tight lines all

well got her to the slip but still had a few issues

which are being addressed.
sea water pump leaking so new being fitted

new water/fuel filter fitted as old one was long over due

and possible issue with gps on the humminbird chartplotter?

hopefully sorted by the weekend
