Have a new GPS/sonar on its way,a Lowrance and of course ill need to get a E chart. So for Vancouver area mainly, what's the one to get? Navionics?

Very best,

Ian

Not a lot of choices other than Navionics. The question is what Navionics. I have had the Gold and Platinum Plus. I didn't use the extra bling on the Platinum Plus to warrant the added cost. The gold also has better coverage although in your case it will have little impact as they both cover your area.

Navionics Gold!

Question......What would happen if you copied all files from someone else's gold card onto a new micro card? Would it work for other users?

Don't know with navionics, but with garmin GPS cards for land they are coded to the card, you can copy the info but it won't work without a coded card

Isn't Nobletec only PC based?

yes, buy a cheap laptop and bob's ur uncle....its expensive program but copies can be made and key'd.
a small invertor will run a laptop , just plug your gps into it.
not sure if the program is apple freindly or not?
