What's this mini Deagle worth?

1983 14' Double Eagle
- Solid transom and hull no rot far as I can tell, windshield in one piece. Engine is dead. Roadrunner trailer wheel studs are rusted badly, says he put new wheels on couple years ago and it rolls as should but who knows, it looks aged. Sleeper seats are there, useable but need work. On a good day what's this rig worth? Is she worth stripping down and rebuilding with a 50hp 4 stroke and trailer rebuild or replace? He wants $700

Yes quite solid, no sign of rot or weakness. Small chip under the transom.

Lot's of work, but looks salvageable.
I'm sure he would take $500
trailer might be a challenge if you are hauling any distance ?

Lease return 50 hp are around $5k,
you'll need new steering cables and controls.
now you're looking at $7-8 k doing minimal repairs.
something to think about ?

Not much under $10k with a late model 4stroke and a windshield in front of you, it definitely is not everyone's cup of tea but it would suit what I wanted. Small, covered and quiet.

Take some tools with you and take the wheel bearings out to have a quick look before towing any distance. Not that hard and will give you piece of mind towing it home. I just rebuilt a trailer like this one that had been neglected very similar to this one. I had to instal speedi sleeves as the rear seal area of the axle had some corrosion from previous rear seal leaking. Take a quick look at the springs as well before towing as they could be rusted through like the wheel nuts are showing.

Thanks guys, he's going to tow it to my house if I buy it. I am not sure I could do better because I want a 14' DE and it's a good color too. $500 isn't bad for a project boat I can work on while I wait for the right deal on power to come along.

I had a 15' double eagle that was my first boat, caught alot of fish in it. It had a 75 johnson on it and calved then put a 55hp johnson on it with electric shift and man she ripped.
