The fish you posted is a lingcod, you'll need to find out what area/zone you are/were fishing in for the actual regulations of this species. I would assume that it has a size limit, and closes completely for a few months out of the year. Add a measuring tape to your tackle/gear box.
I might add that this fish does appear to have a
VERY RARE genetic trait(which
could have been passed on), I don't think this is a true albino but possibly a type of Amelanistic or Hypomelanistic or possibly even Leucistic type trait.
Nice going guys
Sad
I hate to say it but man I wish there was a test involved before being issued a fishing license in B.C. .....
From the regs:
Before you go fishing ask yourself these five questions:
1. Can I go fishing now at this location?
2. Is the gear I want to use legal and can I use it the way I want to in order to catch fish?
3. What can I catch and retain here and in what amount?
4. Do I have my license and supplementary salmon stamp,
and do I need to record my catch on my license?
5. How am I allowed to clean, package and possess my catch so that I can transport it to my residence ?
Before you go fishing make sure that you have the answers!
