well we had it yesterday and last night. seas to 7.7 meters of the tip of the island. oh and just a wee bit o rain.
"I fell for you. We should get the major part of the storm Friday. Forecast is 25-30' swells. And winds. Mavericks should be awesom, but with the winds, probably unsurfable. Rain, which we need starting tonight where I live. But cataract surgery this morning, so inside today, and boat is still wait for me to install the new thrust bearing and impellers.

Bridge before the Cable House is closed as the Salmon River is flooding. True test for valley homeowners will be tomorrow morning's hi tide. Lotsa flooding. Power has held up.
When we were looking for land people said stay out of the flood plain and for once we listened. Nice and high on a hillside.

I can remember the last big flood in the valley, people rescued by chopper, school destroyed, bad scene all around. The valley got a temporary bridge over the salmon (it's still there) and a new bridge(s) just before the village. with an anouncement that flooding of that nature would not occur again. I hope the engineers were right.

Just realized that when I put my new trailer under my boat I left the keys and the plug in...... Good test for the new trailer
4" of water over the decks...... Tossed on the sandals and shorts at 7:15 this moring and jumped in to pull the plug. Still draining
