West Van to close Ambleside launch

The North Shore News is reporting that West Van's Mayor and Council is set to vote June 13th on closing the Ambleside boat launch to power boats.

It is not a very good boat launch at all (Anbleside). If you have a small boat it is OK, but anything in the 20ft range you will have a challenge. I have use it a couple of times; it is bad in low tide. The boat ramp needs to be longer with concrete slabs. There is so few boat launches in the area.
But the loss of any boat launch is a tragedy to the surrounding community. I sent in my Letter.

There's a petition on change.org. Please sign and also pass along to other boaters in the community. We need easier and affordable access to waters -not just more bike lanes...
