Noticed yesterday, (while guiding my guests) the distinct lack of HeliJet action to and from the west coast Haida Gwai.
'Someone' dropped by "The Lodge" to discuss 'matters'. Not sure of that outcome at this point.
Rumours are flying thick here. Hope it is all resolvable as they have some of the best angling ops up here.

I got quite a poorly worded email from them about 10 days ago-something about new rainsuits and 'Oh Yeah we have new owners'.
 
ya I've heard rumours of the new ownership being Jimmy Pattison, the Haida, among others. Will be interesting to see how it plays out. If anyone hears any updates please inform via a post.
 
OBMG was offering 2k off a summer trip on the MV Salmon Seeker earlier this year.
 
agree 100% with lastchance. You are kidding yourself if you really think you are going to make tons of $$ owning a lodge. That's why most of the lodges are owned by guys with mega bucks to start with. It's like owning a pro sports franchise. Really cool thing to have and take your buddies to but your not in it a make a killing. I'm sure a few lodges make some money but by in large they are in the red year after year.
 
I am no financial advisor or accountant, but i cant imgaine anyone would go through the headaches to run and own something like OBMG and not make money. Retired guide, sure, giant lodge, not so much IMO
