On FIRE! Literally! :D

Last couple of days were smashingly AWESOME! Hooked up to 75 salmon per morning! Loads and loads of springs to 40 plus, and coho so thick they are a bloody nuisance! Aw but some of those hatchery nuisances are running up to near 18 POUNDS already, so I guess we'll have to live with it :D

Just a few pix of what's happening...

Still a couple slots left open on my Dance Card for later this month. Drop me a line if you're into some REEL FUN! ;)

Cheers,

South or Big? Hearing alot of mutts are whites? Lots of yoyo's might prove for some interesting action later in the year on some our our flows;)

David?:D

Ocean Rambler left some rumblings of 44,38,35,32,25,22 in 4 hours out off the SW corner in a millpond, while we battle the slop in Sooke[B)] , blah blah blah on my voice mail, Then more rumblings about what the afternoon yielded. I can't listen to it anymore......I am going up!

Great shots nog!

Howdy RB,

Outside South was THE</u> ticket last few times out. If you're headed back over, shoot me an E and I'll give you the cell number.
A few whites, of course the Biggest usually. I'm OK with that, as I actually prefer them. INSANE numbers of Yo-Yo's, and bloody big already, had one hatch job come in at 17.5 lbs already! Sweet! And I do believe that all bodes right well for the fresh action a spell down the road...

See ya back in Ukee! :D:D

Cheers,
Nog

Headed back to Ukee now. Gone Fishin' for the next 5 or 6 days, and will be out of contact. Anyone who might be interested in taking in some of this furious action, have a boo at the website: http://www.castawaycharter.com/CMSMS/index.php
Feel free to contact Paul and investigate what I might have still available. Of course tell him Matt sent you along ;)

In the meantime, Good Luck out there Folks! Hope to see some pictures and tales of success upon my return! :D

Tight Lines!
Matt

Noggy shoot me a E with dates asasp....might have some kids interested, think it could turn into a bit of a show. Maybe sfbc photoshoot? Lemme know asap as we'll be at the wick next week;)

Hey & Hi RB,

I am literally running out the door here, GOTTA get to Ukee asap!
Don't have the calender right in front of me, but if you give Paul a shout, he can set you up. Hope it works out! You coming along this time? Would be a HOOT! :D

Gotta GO!!!!

Cheers,
Nog

I just got back from a guided trip and limited out on Smileys and Coho. Biggest 37# 2 other Tyee. Good size to the hatchery fish. Going out Sat or Sun for a day or 2 in my boat. Worth the trip for sure. Freezer almost full now!

Was in Ukee last week. Out side of Lighthouse bank half way to SW corner was HOT HOT HOT! Incredable amont of big kings. One in five was white meat. Lots of COHO but most are wild. Frog hootches (green, glow white with black spots) worked best for us. Limited out in two days, back in my noon each day. Best fishing I have had there in over twenty years. A must go and do thing. First time I have ever been able to say, YOU SHOULD HAVE BEEN HERE LAST WEEK. LOL

Great trip we had with Matt last week. Lots of big springs and it was hard to get the gear down to them without a coho chasing and hooking up.

What a problem to have!:D

It's back to reality soon as I get out in Georgia Strait to chase 'em.

Yeah I know, it's "nice to get out on the water"...;)

just in tofino for a couple. got our limits on coho couple nice 17lbers, 2 really nice spring 39lb and 34lb, plus lost a 25 at the boat and had another hard hit that broke the line. went out to shipreck and worked into hiesten and c&b. tons of coho

hey friends[8)] Im heading up on Thursday, is Halibut still 1 a day... and keep 2... thanks

On my way up tomorrow from the big smoke.. hopefully there's a couple of fish still left. Anything I should be putting in the boat besides lucky and sharp hooks ? Where's hot where's not ?? Thanks for any help ...

Just got back from a weekend of mostly boating, but did get out to Big Bank for 1.5 hours before the ladies gave us the "take me in or never have *** again" glare. Only had time to fish one lure at one depth. Tomic #50 7" plug with about 6 black felt pen spots down each side, 50 feet back. Put it down 60 feet 6 times: 28lb spring, 14 lb spring, popped off no fish, 5 lb coho, 35 lb spring, popped off. Going back in 2 weeks, can't wait. Try to get some pics on tomorrow. The guides are all returning with limits of springs, hatcheries and halibut, in short order. Mostly big plugs and huge spoons.

Great report and nice photo's. I have never tried that UV blast stuff. Is UNKOWN Rob from PNT??

I guess I've been posting my Ukee trips in the wrong section all this time[:I].

UV Blast spray is semi permanent and the brush on is permanent. All very cool stuff...I prefer the UV Blast.

When you use the UV Blast can you still apply scent afterwards or will the scent effect or wash off the UV??
