This is pretty interesting to say the least - winds from 17 SE veering to 47 NW between 3 pm and 5 pm today at PT Atkinson. Going over Lions Gate Bridge today at 5 pm was kind of surreal so wondering what that wind speed was!

Waterspout watch issued as well !

wonder what the sea state was?
did u happen to get a look at halibut bank?
Tim

Yeah only hit 33 knots at Halibut and 1.1 meters . It switched to NW quickly with a big puff and then dropped off a bit so not the time to build

La Perouse 7.4 Meters at 4 pm !

Issued for Johnstone Strait as well. First time I've ever seen that warning. Attributed to the abrupt shift in wind direction?

It's a pretty unstable airmass in the area right now which would typically produce thunderstorms that are known for creating water spouts (tornadoes). I guess combined with the strong winds we are having they think there might be some action.
