I'm heading up tomorrow to do some work and thought I would take my boat. Was wondering if the salmon fishing for winters would be good this time of year. Anybody know? Was wonder about fishing in the inlet or will I have to head out towards winter harbour?

Thanks for the info can't wait to get there! I'm staying just on the other side of the narrows in my friends cabin. Any particular gear I should be using this time of year?

Anchovie, Cop car coyote, green double glow splatterback hootchy would be my go to choices. oh yeah guess we would also have to include an army truck hootchy.

Our experience off Coal Island is the Springs are almost always feeding on Needlefish on the bottom.
So, tiny strip and squirts have been the best lures for us.
Watch our for the reefs and seals...they can both be a big problem.
