wanted - rope for decorative fence

Does anyone know where I can buy old or new, thick rope (1-2" diameter) for a nautical theme fence? Would need about 50' or so. Prefer a natural looking fibre (not yellow nylon or poly). Like the stuff the big ships use to tie up...hawser lines??

Anywhere between Nanaimo and Campbell River would be great.

Home Depot also sells the kind of rope you're after but usually only one size.

Google BC Auction website they are usually selling old rope on there.

Try a work yard like Seaspan. Go onto the work boat directory you will find tons of working boats with line to get rid most likley for free. email them..
