What's the group's opinion on this rod? Is it a uniquely good performer? Or is the premium price mostly due to the brand recognition? It looks nicely built in the pics but I've never seen one in person.

Out my price range but I have used the 10'6' my friend has and being a fiberglass blank it is a little heavier than the graphite rods I use and is a med/heavy action rod. It is a very well made rod and is nice to use but it would not be my choice for the size most springs are today.

I have two, I think they are awesome, same rods as the Barry’s custom I’m pretty sure.

Very nice rods but too heavy for the smaller average size of salmon nowadays. They need to make a lighter version if they don't already.
