Wanted gm 3500hd dually

I had one, nicest truck i ever drove.
Agree people that have em don’t seem to want to sell em. Was looking at new gm 100k plus plus and all have a recall on the 10 speed trans no parts in stock to replace the valve body in them the the recall doesn’t actually fix it just tells you when is just about to grenade that’s what you get for 100 plus grand rever mind the 20 k repair when the ticking time bomb cp4 fuel pump goes south. What the F is going on
Ok rant over.

Those are on the high end forsure
Normally see them 24 to 27 ish here
I have the srw. Verizon of this been bulit proof for the last 12 years I have had it and it’s worth more than what I paid for it go figure

8.1 are close to common in the US? Were they an option in Canada? I saw one for sale in the interior last year with torklift tie downs and I think a super hitch. If I hadn’t flown from the island to williams lake a few years before to buy my f350 I would have jumped on it. Sold in 3-4 days.

I installed a cp4 disaster kit for under $1000 last month, it was the ford one, I imagine similar cost for the chev.

I’d set up a few Craigslist alerts and Facebook saved search.

It doesn’t feel like most people get their asking price on anything these days, so what it’s worth right now is very subjective.

A client was saying how cheap he got his newest chev dually, can’t remember how much but I felt like it was a good deal, but he gets fleet rates. A family member had the chev dodge and ford dealers in courtenay all under bidding to sell him a 1 ton diesel in the summer.

The 8.1 was definitely an option, in Canada. Pretty rare though. I looked for a couple years, to find one. I didn’t want a diesel, due to the high repair costs. But I pay more at the pump. Mine is a 2001 and I bought it for $8k in 2015. I love this truck and plan on keeping her for as long as possible. Next year I can get collector’s plates. Best of luck in your search.

That’ll do donkey, that’ll do!

Sounds like the safest truck camper and boat setup. It will put mine to shame. Nice find

Take a look as I believe the LLYs had issues with the injector harness issues with the 2 and 7 injectors. Look online as it seemed to be a pretty common issue if you google it. Just a heads up.

I thought that if it is 2006, then it is LBZ - the LLY is 2004-5 ?
my 2006 is LBZ - and if it is pre 2006, it is not 6 speed.

If memory serves me right, I think it’s halfway through the year o6 they went Lbz which apparently is an LLY with a different tune.
Researching the Vin number should confirm.
According to my research, the 06LLY is virtually the same as the LBZ but different from previous years of LLY. It’s a bit confusing and it’s a bit of wormhole to research, but that’s what I got out of it.

Won't even be a issue for that rig. Loader up and go
