Also worth doing a bit of research - I believe that there were several lower units that fit, with some being reputedly stronger than others - you most likely had a Lighting case, but the consensus seems to be that the 225HO borderline overpowers it, and the Magnum (M2) case is a straight swap and is far more beefy:
I had a lower unit come apart (casing damaged) looking for a replacement. Have heard that I may have to replace prop if a HO lower unit is not put on. Only had boat for three weeks. Looking for options.. Thanks,

Lightning case only came on 20inch models. It was just a type O case with a nose cone. Usually ended up in complete shrapnal. you just can't run the 90 degree etec through a type of gearset. Kaboom. Too much torque
