Wanted. Bottom end for Merc.

2010 50 horse 4 stroke Merc. Somehow mine calfed with low hours on it. Any suggestions?

Might have to look at selling the power head and taking the funds and putting towards a new motor. A new leg for that motor is going to be pricy if buying new. Finding a used motor with a blown power head and a good leg might be a little challenging, unless you have unlimited time. That's the kicker right there. How much time do you want to be down a motor? Is this your main off a smaller tinny?

Get a price to rebuild or repair it. Usually less to do this.

Thanks guys. I think a new leg is around 3500, so that's the route I'll probably take since the engine has very few hours on it.

I just did the seals and new prop shaft on my 150. Cost me around a grand from a mechanic.
