Funny you should post this.... At the Vancouver Island Music Festival in July, I won a trip for two to raft and snorkel with the salmon that had to be taken by the end of September. So after returning from Nootka fishing last Thursday, I went back up to Campbell River to do the rafting-snorkelling thing this past Saturday with my oldest son. We had a blast. For almost 3 hours we snorkelled past thousands of pinks and quite a few Chinooks, plus some very large trout mixed in for good measure. Got it all on film with my GoPro which I will edit and post at sometime in the future. Couple of big black bears were on the river too. It really was a neat thing to do. I highly recommend doing it.
