Victoria boat and fishing show

Is this usually a pretty good show? Should I be expecting a smaller version of the Vancouver one? There looks like some pretty interesting seminars and so on. Never been but I plan on going for the first time this upcoming weekend.

Should I be expecting a smaller version of the Vancouver

in a word, No...
very much a smaller scale show.
lots more emphasis on fishing and gimicks
rather than boats

Probably take you longer to park your truck then walk though the show.

Not saying the show is no good, but if you have been to the Vancouver or Seattle shows you will be disappointed. I usually go if I'm in the area but then again I always get free tickets so it's not a big deal.

have they still been doing the bring in your broken rod and exchange it for a new one for like 20$ or whatever it is?
i havnt been for a couple years but that was always a great deal to cash in on.

I've never been so I'm gonna check it out. It'd be nice to look at boats I could never afford, but I would probably prefer to look at gear and stuff I can "maybe" afford.

There's more boats to look at and better info on these forums, than that show...

Any reports on how what show actually has? Worth stopping in?

I had a good time yesterday. Was pleased to see that the Victoria Fish & Game had an air rifle range set up for people to use. I always enjoy the social aspect of the show, got some good info and freebies. Might just stop by again this afternoon.

I was hoping to high five Dylan from Nice Fish JR. I like that kids stoke for fishing. Too bad I could only find his gramps. Lost a beer bet at the pellet range target shooting. Was happy to see all the Arima's there. More Arima's then any other rig. Also really really liked the Thunder Jet's! I think it was the Tyee model that was really impressive for me. Got a few deals and a bunch of freebies. Maybe, just maybe I will get a call that I won one of the many draws I entered. Oh and it was the first time I held an islander reel. Feels nice but too rich for me.
Was funny how serious the Canadian Customs and Border guys were. Seemed like they were trying to scare people instead of teaching them about the rules regarding crossing over and coming back.

it was a good time talking to every one, and the Three Point Property Guys where their talkin about a new Dock and New Trailer Pads in Renfrew. Nice stuff and a easy on the eye Blond.....:)
