Vancouver Salt Chuck?

Fished today in the harbour thrsday what an awesome day tons of fish out there on the sounder I mean tons got a 12 my buddy got a 22 and I took my nephew also I had two nice fished hooked andgave him the rod he lost them both white hooch was the ticket hit one t10 ,hit one at atkinson ,one at cap and one at the freighters ;

Putted around the harbour for an hour or two on Sunday, pretty barren in there. We then headed south to T-10 and started marking large clumps of bait balls and quite a few fish.. no action on the day however, not even a mud shark! We trolled a combination of hoochies, chovies, & batrix.

Passed on going fishing. Straight of Georgia had high winds. Went golfing instead, not my best day there either.

Kipper

Fished Ambleside yesterday morning for 3 hours. Five on, three coho in the boat and one clipped coho for the BBQ. Surprised how few boats were out. Has the fishing been that bad ?

White hoochie for 2 of the five, green/glo spoon for the others, 30 to 45'.

Own your own stuff.

It may just be picking up now cause most the reports that I have heard and people that I have talked to have had very little success off the cap. I'm just back from holidays and haven't had a chance to get out yet, but from the sounds of things, it's been pretty bleak out there. Good to hear that it may be picking up. Were the other boats getting fish too?

I'm hoping to get out tomorrow AM (and PM if my wife will let me) :D. Trying to decide betweeen the Fraser (T10, North Arm) or HITW. Sox would be a bonus, but if you don't hit a big bump of them, there's not much chance... In my experience HITW produces best just after high slack, and there's an early low tommorrow. Been a couple of months since I've been out - work [xx(] Any suggestions / reports?

The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive but attainable, a perpetual series of occasions for hope.

We were out at 6:00 a.m. and fished Sandheads,T-10 and North Arm. Nada, I didn't even see the commercial guys bring up their lines. I might have to check out the native fish store. ;)

Fished the T10 for a couple hours this morning. Lines wet at 6AM. Targeted sockeye and not a sniff, nothing on the sounder either. Got too lumpy and quit. Brisco, do you have a black and white boat? Only other boat out there.

Coriba, My boat is white hull with black canvas top. We did stop at T-10 on the way to Sandheads. Was that you in the nice boat? I did see a black hulled boat at the North Arm on our way back. I didn't see a single charter guy out there which means it isn't worth it.

Yeah, its a nice boat, not enough fish in it though. Reading this forum, it sounds like it is tough everywhere. Poor reports from Winter Harbour and Port Hardy. We are going to try Port Hardy first week in August, hope things improve!
