victoria boater your on the the mark.Last chance your not,these fish are not spawning in front of the fish ladders.there a are other programs that hurt the smolt.one is the intoduction of walleye years ago, and classified them as a sport fish.One thing they did do was make squaw fish the scape goat.[northern pike minnows yes they get there fair share]They put a bounty on the devils $4.oo a fish for the 1st hundred then $5.00 a fish for the 2nd hundered.i think it goes on upto $8.00 per fish after 5-6 hundred check on line.If ya go don't forget your sturgon rod either.In june shad fishing starts,great crab bait and fighters.[}] One other thing untill they pull the river nets ther wo't be much fish.good luck all

I witnessed Pinniped's with voracious appetites. Thats one thing but when they are Killing for sport that is another. On a small coastal river in Oregon I saw a couple Sea Lions kill over 20 Salmon and head back out to sea. I guess the Crabs liked it but I sure didn't.
