I'd say, we always make sure we're off the water by 3:00pm this time of year.

sorry but there lucky, really no sympathy for them.
seen a few row boaters doing the same here going out for crab
on dark dull days late in the afternoon with no major boat traffic about
is it really worth it for a few crab to risk your own and the possibility of a rescue team
if you have a mishap especially this time of year.

at least you think they would have had underwater cell phones to at least call for help ... not one safety piece , that's an insane amount of stupid !!
just incase thats the one of the things i keep on me cell phone with a water proof cover , *16 Coast Guard on the cell
