Treating a tail from a sailfish

Looking for a little help? Just returned from a trip from Mexico and am wondering what I have to do to preserve a tail from a sailfish to place it on the wall?
Will it loose its color over time , if so anything I can put on it to save the color ?

Thanx ,

me and the old man done a few tails and bills in the past years when we used to still kill billfish on our annual cabo excursion. Not too much you can do to preserve color , sandwich between a few boards and c clamp to prevent warping while drying then spray with ur choice of sealant. Bills were always hung from our dock by some chord for a month or so to let the crabs do the work as they are quite greasy, then bleached and sealed and bobs ur uncle.

flesh it out
degrease and pickle
card and pin
seal and repaint the colour back in

its going to shrink
