Transporting smoked fish

Hi,

I would like to donate some smoked sockeyes that I caught my self to my parents that are visiting from out east to BC. Are they allowed to travel with this (fish is smoked and vaccum sealed in bags)? My understanding is since the fish is "rdy for consumption" it wouldn't fall under the DFO transport regulation. Tried contacting DFO about this but haven't gotten back to me and running out of time here

Thanks

As long as you keep your license, and transported them to your home you should be fine:

“The following requirements apply until a fish is prepared for immediate consumption, or the fisher arrives at home, or the fisher delivers their fish to a registered processing service.”

You arrived at home and smoked them. Shoot them a screen shot of your license.
