Top 5 plugs

Finally

I have bunch of old plugs in the 5' to 7' sizes in classic that are well past there prime. I am going to be sending some out to tomic to get painted. I am going to try them this year at the end of July when we head out to Nootka fishing mostly inshore waters. I have used the search function and found some plugs that seem to be very popular on the west coast like the 602 and 500 and the 546 and 545 for pilchards. Any new colours out there that work well out in nootka?

If you had to choose 5 plugs what would they be? (size and model)

Also, some of these plugs have old rusted swivels on them. I am assuming these might need to have the pins pulled as it doesn't look like you can replace the swivels?(would you do this after they get painted so no paint clogs the empty pin holes?)

Thanks guys and I look forward to your input.

Lets hope the ocean allows for large schools of pilchards to come closer to shore this summer.
You should ask about the RVP pilchard series, but you'd have to buy new plugs if you wanted one.

if they still catch fish just keep fishing them. Pull the guts and keep going. You can also take a black sharpie and put your own pilchard dots down the side

You could add a split ring then swivel then hook. The opposite of this Tomic 50 with a too small hook, so I added the ring to get the hook farther back. This one works well when there are pilchards.

shhhhhh, them damn things don't work...waste of money.

Last summer Black and white was doing well for us in Nootka. 293, 657, 512, or 712 but that was last summer and the 602 doesn't miss for very long from what I hear.
