Rain. Amount 20 mm. Wind southeast 40 to 60 km/h. Low plus 3.

Wednesday
Rain. Amount 15 mm. Wind southeast 50 km/h gusting to 80 becoming south 80 gusting to 110 in the morning. High 8.


West coast south-- hurricane force winds.............................

Better put a couple of extra lines on the boat if you are moored.......
 
65 Knt Winds, 10 Metre Seas on La Perouse tonight, would be a fun night in Bamfield. Not so fun if you wern't in the Harbour.
 
Well I went and put another line on the boat. Tied down pretty much everything on the dock. Walked around the place and put away anything that could fly away.
Generater is full of fuel for when the trees hit the power line and here I sit without a breath of wind. Waiting. Keep you posted if I can
 
Looking at the current warning, waves will reach 36 Feet (11 Metres)on the west coast.

Hurricane force wind warning in effect.

Wind southerly 20 to 30 knots becoming southeast 25 to 35 late this evening then increasing to 40 to 50 late overnight. Wind increasing to southeast 50 to 65 early Wednesday morning except east 35 to 45 over northern sections. Wind becoming southwest 60 to 75 early Wednesday afternoon then diminishing to 45 to 55 Wednesday evening.

I really wish I lived in bamfield. I would love to see this coming storm first hand.. generator running, hot rum, woodstove burning..
 
Ya I have no generator so this could be my last post for a while...

Will go down to the beach tomorrow for some footage. Should be intense.
 
I think weve had every season this week. Rain, snow, sun,dead calm, and a hurricane!

My charter for tomorrow arrived in town and I broke the news we will not be fishing. I was concerned
that they would take it wrong. I was wrong. They brought wind surfers and are planning to find a
safe place to take in Mother Nature. Oh...and they rebooked for next week! :) Go figure.....
 
It's here boys race rocks is 50kts from the se yuk. It doesn't look like it's hit farther up the coast though, any reports from BAM
