Thinning the flock

Well I took the weekend off from fishing and spent yesterday afternoon laying in a field lol. Man was it hot out at first but cooled down a bit around 6:30. We were using painted artificial grass matts and had them come right in almost on top of us. Very cool.

Lucky 13 was the end result. Thanks to the great folks that invited me out. I had a blast (pun intended):).

Nice shooting..haven't do any of that in 15 years since my shooting days on Westen Island in Delta..... :)

Well I made some pulled goose sandwiches for dinner tonight. Turned out awesome!!!

Keep it simple for the slow cooker........

2 onions
1 whole bottle of barbeque sauce
4 cloves of garlic
2 tablespoons of montreal steak spice
1/2 can of beer
10 goose legs

Set on low for around 5 hours or until the meat just falls off the bones. Pull it apart and drizzle some of the sauce from the pot put it on some nice buns with homemade coleslaw and potato chips as a side mmmmmm good!

wow the complete report right to the plate, looks great wish I could dig in.

I aim to please buddy lol. It was delicious and I made some goose liver pate as well. I have it cooling in the fridge and won't be able to try it till tomorrow on some toasted baguettes. I got to keep all the livers and it worked out to 1.5 lbs!!! The recipe called for 1 pound so I cooked up some for the dog's to eat. My lab woofed it down like right now but my wife's little mini dachshund would touch it. Not good enough for the little princess I guess:D.

In your recipe you call for a half can of beer, but in your photo all I see is Bud light lime  I thought you wanted to use beer. ??????

Ha ha. Yeah it was one of the wife's and I thought maybe the lime would add a little extra flavour. She drank the other half.
