I think I even remember a customer busting off a set of gear on a fish. Flasher and all. Quickly rigged up a new setup, then threw that out unattached....a really sickly feeling watching the second lost rig in a few minutes drifting out of site. No wonder I charge so much!!!!

I have only lost a cannon ball in Seymour Narrows so far. Had to cut the downrigger line when the ball got caught on some kelp.

This is a expensive hobby/sport. Loosing reels and other gear would definitely been a bad day of fishing.
