Suffix Siege Performance Monofilament...

I was recommended a roll of this stuff for leader.

I have the 30lb in "Smoke Green".

I was told it was good because it has low memory and is tough.

It may be tough......but it is very "rubbery" and stretches quite a bit.

I was using it yesterday and using a Clinch knot to affix it to the jig.

First thing I noticed was it's so rubbery and stretchy that when you pull the knot tight it just pulls right through and unravels and comes off.

I had to tie a double stopper knot in it so it wouldn't pull through and come free.

A different knot may have worked better....but I won't be taking that chance anytiime soon again.

Back to good old Maxima for me..........

Just a heads up in case you are using this line for anything.......

I've been using Suffix Siege 14lb. test for mainline on my ambassedeur baitcaster for steelheading for many years now.I agree it is stretchier
than some lines but for my application, with the low memory and abbrasion resistance,it works very well. Not to mention
it's almost half the price of Ultragreen. Maxima makes the best mono leader you can buy,but if you have the coin,
fluorocarbon is the way to go for leader material. Just so frickin' pricey!!
