Striped Bass

Just got back from a 3 1/2 week trip back to NY and New England. Got out one day with a friend on his boat off Fire Island, NY and caught this 39 lb, 46" x 25" Striped Bass. Caught it on my spinning rod with a live bunker (Menhaden) as bait and it is my personal best for that species. It fought like a similar sized chinook. There may be a replica mount in the future.

Very nicely indeed. Really good eating fish, and shared with lots of other families.
