SPOT PRAWN PRICES

Wondering what people are paying for spot prawns off the docks this year.
I'm up in Hardy now and the guys want $25 a pound head on live.
Seems crazy to me.

$26.90/lb live retail from T&T.

$25 / lb live at the boat at entrance to Granville Island by the fish and chips place. They get there around 2 and and sell out in an hour or two.

We were getting them in Sidney during Covid for $10 lb head on.
Inflation is a killer !

Agreed. I'd rather see the boat owners getting the money rather than the resellers. Missed my usual prawn opening in the SanJuans. Gonna have to make an effort next year.
