Hi guys, I had both of my down riggers stolen from park Isle marina in sooke on the evening of the Aug 9th or early morning Aug 10th. I had just towed to sooke from Port hardy and I was late getting in, figured they would be safe until I got back in the morning...apparently not!

If anyone sees a used pair for sale, please let me know.

Motion cameras have been installed for the next twit who tries to steal my gear...

Aww man, that sucks. I'm sorry to hear your welcoming committe was a bunch of a$$holes. I am still perfecting my exploding downrigger for the "bait downrigger program" I want to implement next season.

It used to be that fishermen were a "better than most" kinda bunch. I remember busting two rods one day when I was just a kid and having to come in early. Some guys at the ramp noticed my dad and I weren't out for more than an hour. He called us over and gave us two rods from his boat. He said just chuck them back into his rig when we were back for the day. And you know, he didnt even ask our names. When he got back to his boat the next morning, there were his rods and reels, tucked neatly away in his moored boat, with 6 beer as a thank you. I miss those days and whenever I hear a crappy story like this, well... it just sucks.

I will keep an eye open for some used riggers for you.
