New to the Sooke area, looking for some info on the Sooke River, any info will be helpful

Mark

there is an early fall run of chum and coho salmon, the odd chinook aswell, and in the lower parts of the river there are searun cutthroat. above the bridge is fly only during the salmon run, and below you can fish gear. If you are heading into sooke there is a road on the left named Kaltasin, it takes you to billings spit which can have great searun cutty fishing.

-Steve PM me for any more info!

You may keep Sea-run cutthroats from some streams if they are 'clipped' (adipose fin removed)

I's suspect you would be hard pressed to find one of those clipped fish in the Sooke river or estuary.
