Sockeye are early?

have friend in port that is into the sockeye already. am I correct in saying the run is early this year ?

I have seen the sockeye up into sprout lake by the start of May before so don't think its that early

fair enough I thought it was usually the second week of june the bulk of the fish show up?, anyhow the are nailin em already...I sure would like a smoker full..

prawning out in bamfield since the 12th, run out the inlet every morning have seen 6 or 7 jumpers so far, and hearing that the natives are having an opening next week possibly.

a few sockeyes show up in Somass in the month of April before. June is better for bigger schools of sockeye to come in. saw a few jumpers off Harbour Quay rocks in May long time ago.
