I understand they help all boats get on, and maintain plane better.
But on a small boat , why don't you try hydrofoils ((dole fins) ?
simple to attach and much less expensive.
Might be ok for a boat that size. Think they would be very good on a RIB too.
I put mine on a 21' Explorer and did not like them.
They certainly got the boat up on plane fast but there are a few drawbacks. You cannot adjust for load changes once they are setup. Biggest problem was backing up. When idling in reverse they are full down and act like speed brakes. Was very hard to back up straight. Also screwed up water flow to my kicker as they direct the water down when trolling and the kicker tended to cavitate. I switched mine to Bennett hydraulic trim tabs and think their great. Can adjust for different loads and put the bow down into the waves. Plus it gives me 2 more buttons to play with!
