Silex re bushing

Hi there, I bought a Silex Jewel some time ago. For its age it seems to be in pretty good shape, but certainly is not mint and has seen use. It seems to me that there is a bit too much radial play between the spindle and the spool. Has anyone any experience with re bushing a centerpin? Not sure what the best strategy is for doing this kind of job. I have both a vertical mill and a lathe available. Thanks,

If it doesn't effect your casts, distance or play...a drop of fine oil and keep fishing. My three jewels all have some play as do a few other models of Silex reels I own. I just keep Going. Your grandson will never wear it out when it gets passed down the generations.
