Years ago after I did my transom/stringers rebuild, I added organizers on the inside of the gunwale. Starboard side has a rack with four rods laying horizontally and secured with bungee cords, works great. On port side, I fitted click-in tool holders on vertically mounted aluminum rails to hold my gaff, boat hook, downrigger clip retriever and paddle - things you want to grab quickly. They worked ok for a year or two, but the rubber straps started to fail. Only one is functional now, it really is time to replace them. I still want the quick grab, quick put away functionality. Is anyone else using something like this and could recommend something durable?
