The rainy day got me looking at some pics from this season.

We considered entering this greedy little bugger in the SFBC Derby ,but did not think they would have a category for "weight less 50%)

Always amazing to think a fish this small would hit a plug that big. Also leaves ya wondering what bit him?



This is just one more reason that as much as I love to fish the still water on the fly, I prefer the ocean and all its wonders.

Don't have to in salt water is my understanding of the rules...... It is illegal to keep a willfully foul hooked fish in the salt water but in the case of that coho, which was NOT willfully foul hooked. I would have put it on ice had I wanted to.

Had it been in fresh water the fish would have had to been returned.

The five foot blue shark that got the other half didn't seem to concerned aboutwhether or not it was foul hooked.
