Shipping Container to Central America?

Long shot I know , but has anyone ever shipped a container down to Central America? Looking for any tips and recommendations!

its actually fairly easy. i havent shipped to central america but i did ship to europe and it was much much easier than i thought it would be. its basically the same procedure. fill in the customs forms, usual paperwork, make multiple copies and stick some in the envelope outside the container, have fedex pickup from your place. mark it as personal effects if you dont want duties. make sure you list the items with the proper naics or whatever codes you can get from fedex.
 
Uh, which county? My work shipped a can to Argentina and it was horrible, never got it during the contract, just had it returned at the end. Chilli I've heard of it being ok... Not sure if you need some wheels greased, lots of those countries are still like that though as part of their culture.

Edit: sorry, I missed the "Central America", not south america.
