34” octagon barrel, beautiful dark walnut furniture, double set trigger, mid and long- range sights.
The barrel is marked “OLD RELIABLE” I believe they don’t mark their barrels that way anymore.
If you Google Billy Bixon at Adobe Walls, you will see the rifle with which he made his historic shot. This rifle is what the Long Range Express is patterned after.
Billy Dixon during an Indian raid used the Big Fifty to shoot a hostile off his horse at over 1,500 yards.
This rifle has become a safe queen since about 1984 when it won first and second place at the Canadian Black Powder Federation Championships held at Gault Sportsmen Club in Ontario. (The rifle was loaned to another BC shooter who took second)

50 tumble cleaned Bell brass.

20 C. Sharps virgin brass.
NEI Bullet mold 510 gr. PP double cavity.
RCBS 515 gr. FN single cavity.
